Abstract

Abstract

An understanding of the process and amount of runoff that occurs as well as the factors that influence it are needed as a reference for urban areas management to be more effective. This study was carried out in the Mampang watershed located in Southern Jakarta. The purpose of this study is to assess the amount of runoff in the Mampang Watershed using the SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) model. The input data used in the SWAT modeling are the Digital Elevation Model (DEM), soil maps, land use maps and climate data as well as observation discharge for calibration and validation purposes using the SWAT-CUP software. The results of this study indicate that the average runoff that occurs in the Mampang Watershed is 709 mm/month with a rainfall of 1170 mm/month or with a runoff coefficient of 0.61. This shows that the runoff that occurs in the Mampang watershed is 61% of the rainfall that occurs.
