Abstract
In designing a foundation, field testing is necessary to evaluate the capacity and performance of the pile and verify the installed foundation's ability to resist the structure load. Instrumented loading tests can be conducted to determine the load-bearing capacity of the foundation and the load-deformation behavior experienced by the piles during the loading test. Therefore, the researchers analyze the axial load-bearing capacity and load distribution on the bored pile foundation based on the results of the static loading test using an instrumented VWSG and Tell-Tale Extensometer. This research uses empirical equations and geotechnical programs. The analysis results show that the axial bearing capacity from the static loading test is greater than its theoretical bearing capacity, indicating that the foundation can withstand the structural load. The load distribution from the instrumentation results shows that >90% of the load has been distributed to the skin friction pile, so pile shortening is necessary.
